In what was described as either ‘The James River Rumble’ or the ‘War On Warwick’, our builders beat Christopher Newport University 38-35. Led by Mason Tatum and Ricardo Corpus, the offense put on a show in the fourth quarter by scoring three touchdowns in about eight minutes. Read the full article here.
Robotics Team Success!
The Apprentice School’s Robotics team recently competed in the annual American Society for Engineering Education’s (ASEE) Robotics competition and came back to finish in 2nd place! The team found itself down to its last of four attempts to complete this year’s challenge, and with some last minute adjustments, the robot was able to deliver and the team moved into 2nd place! Baseball National Champions!
In a comeback for the ages, The Apprentice School Builders’ baseball team won the USCAA National Championship in baseball 23-17 over Miami-Hamilton on May 19! Though the team found itself down by double digit runs midway through the contest, there was no quit in these Builders as they scored the last 17 runs of the game and came away with the win.
